Good post...

I think that this is a very important point and discussion that needs to be had within churches, as too many leaders have been returned to ministries that they have no right to return to.

I may be missing an example or two...maybe...but the only two times I can think of a biblical characters who were in leadership and sinned, and remained where they were (after repentance) are King David (with his affair with Bathsheba) and Peter (denying Jesus). But the vast majority of leaders who were put into place by God, but who sinned typically did not return to their position, and if they went unrepentant, there were significant consequences to their sin (like King Saul).
